Week of June 8 – June 12, 2020

Dear preschool families!

The Summer is not here. It is very hot these days!

I can’t believe this week is the last week of the school year 2019-2020. I miss you all my friends and families! I hope you have a great summer with fun activities at home.

The theme of this week is “Pirates” which is linked to the previous lessons.

The lesson plan including books, songs, art activities, gross/fine motor activities, as well as some STEM related activities is now uploaded under the "Files and Documents" tab to the left of this message. Again, this is optional and you can modify the activities for your children, too.

Please don't hesitate to contact me via my email at yangjs@pwcs.edu. My office hours will be on Thursdays from 2:00-3:00 PM but you can always welcome to contact me at any time during the week. I'll try to get back to you within 24 hours.

Please tell my friends that I, Ms. Nancy, and Ms. Denise really miss them!! Give them kisses and hugs for us!

Stay safe and healthy!

Dear families,

I am trilled that I will be working with you and your child for the rest of SY 2019-2020. I am the lead teacher for afternoon Preschool classroom at Kilby ES. I just returned from my maternity leave. I can’t wait to watch your child(ren) learn and grow each day!

I am very passionate about teaching special education, especially early childhood. I studied at Johns Hopkins University where I earned my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education.

I grew up in South Korea and moved to the United States when I finished my two years of teaching in Elementary level special education. I believe that early intervention is the most significant education for all children, especially for the students with special needs.

I am married to a wonderful man, Kevin and we have a son, Ethan who will turn three months old soon.

I am so glad I get to be your teacher and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us!
